Field Mowing & Brush Hogging
For large or small acreage tracts, lot and pastures we offer our Field Mowing & Land Clearing Services. Although two different levels of Field Mowing and Bush Hogging are available we also do custom cuts, On severely overgrown properties most customers however choose a Rough Cut finish. Our Rough Cut field option leaves the grass standing roughly 6″ to 8″ tall. For an additional charge our field mowing and bush hogging service also offers the option of raking debris haul away. The second level of cut is referred to as a finish cut and it gives the field a more finished manicured appealing look.
Commercial Service
A variety of options are available to our Commercial Field Mowing and Land Clearing Service Clients. We are however available for one time jobs or recurring contract jobs as needed on a weekly, bi-weekly, month or as needed plans. Discounts are given to our recurring contract customers. For customers wanting a more manicured look our 60″ wide Z-Turn mowers are available to finish out the job. We highly recommend fields heavily populated with Mesquite be Root Plowed before cutting.
Residential Service
Our Finish Cut option is offered for Residential customers using our Field Mowing Service. Our finish cut is accomplished with Z-Turn Mowers or what is known as a Finish Mower tractor attachment. This option hoever is not available for grass height over 8″ or covered in brush or thorns. Our recurring contract customers will receive a discount.
Difference in Field Mowing and Bush Hogging
Field Mowing: Field Mowing is normally done with a tractor and rotary cutter attachment that mounts behind the tractor. Although they are also sometimes referred to as a shredder they are one in the same. While Field Mowing is most likely done on fields like the one in the picture some exceptions are made. Mostly these fields consist mainly of light weeds and grasses. with no trees rocks or debris. Our Field Mowing Service is probably your best bet for over grown fields and properties.
Bush Hogging: Bush Hogging or Brush Hogging is a term used when cutting thick underbrush and over growth. The picture shows a field that would qualify for Bush Hogging. Bush Hogging requires a Heavy Duty rotary cutter capable of cutting small trees and saplings up to 2″ in diameter. In some cases Mesquite Root Plowing is advised on heavily Mesquite Populated fields.
